Trade Partner for Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers | Morris & Dickson

Distribution built for manufacturers

From an independent pharmacy in 1841 to America’s largest independent full-line distributor, Morris & Dickson understands the pharmacy supply chain and supports inventory management and pharmaceutical logistics. More than a thousand manufacturers rely on M&D to deliver products ranging from common prescriptions to specialty and temperature-sensitive medications.

M&D’s 450,000-square-foot automated distribution center maintains a full 30-day supply of more than 30,000 pharmaceutical and healthcare SKUs ready for next-day delivery. We also support Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and all types of pharmacies, delivering quick turn times, minimal error rates, and consistent, reliable service.

The M&D manufacturers’ difference

No one knows the supply chain better, and no one goes above and beyond for manufacturers like Morris & Dickson. Five pick stations, 10 replenish stations, and 3,000 order lines per hour (with a capacity of 100,000 per hour), driven by a fully autonomous robotic picking station, keeps pharmaceuticals moving to customers fast and efficiently.

Warehousing

With a 12-acre, 450,000-square-foot automated distribution center in Shreveport, along with additional capacity through its Olive Branch, Mississippi facility, M&D serves as a major single-ship point for numerous manufacturers.

Handling

M&D supports a wide range of product requirements, including ultra-cold storage down to -80°C across multiple therapeutic classes, as well as specialized handling for chemotherapy, hazardous, flammable, and temperature-sensitive therapies.

Accuracy

Over 90% of order lines are picked through automation, resulting in an error rate of just 1 in 60,000—far outpacing the industry rate of 1 in 6,000.

A full line of pharmaceuticals

Whatever pharmaceutical product you manufacture, Morris & Dickson has extensive experience in handling it. From common medicines to ultra-cold storage products requiring special handling, M&D logistically knows how to store and ship it.

Their level of service and support is unparalleled in a complex industry with unending challenges to consistent medication supply and distribution. We have tested M&D and they have consistently delivered.
