Shreveport, LA – (September 30, 2024) – Morris & Dickson today announced that Merissa Coffman has joined the company as the senior vice president of Human Resources. Reporting to Jody Hatcher, president and CEO at M&D, Coffman will lead all human resources functions, including recruitment and retention, workforce talent development and culture development and engagement.

“Merissa is a strategic HR leader with a passion for people and their experiences,” says Hatcher. “She also has a proven track record for ensuring HR priorities align with the most pressing needs of the business. Previously, Coffman was a leading human resources consultant, working with Shreveport, Louisiana-based businesses on organizational development, staffing, compliance, performance management and employee engagement. A longtime Shreveport resident herself, she’s also held senior HR roles with local organizations such as the Shreve Memorial Library and Vintage Realty Co.

With a Master’s of Science, Leadership & Human Resource Development from Louisiana State University, Coffman is also a senior certified professional (SCP) with the Society of Human Resource Management and has her ACC certification from the Center for Executive Coaching.
