Group Purchasing Organization BeaconMD Partners with Morris & Dickson to Support Community-Owned Specialty Clinics and Infusion Centers
Transparent Drug Purchasing Model Delivers Clarity and Savings for Physicians Who Rely on Buy-and-Bill Model for Access to Specialty Medications
Shreveport, LA – (July 1, 2024) –BeaconMD, a group purchasing organization (GPO), announced today that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Morris & Dickson, LLC, to deliver transparent drug purchasing models to community practices, infusion centers and other alternate site sites of care. This five year, non-exclusive distribution agreement will allow BeaconMD to bring its high-value drug pricing programs to community sites of care nationwide beginning July 1, 2024.
BeaconMD targets practices and infusion centers that support various specialties, including neurology, oncology, immunology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, urology and orphan diseases. Its primary focus is to add drug cost transparency for its membership group, with an eye toward helping them enhance the viability of their practice economics through their drug purchasing practices.
BeaconMD strives to help its members get better clarity into the best option for them within competitive drug molecules saving them time in sourcing and drug management. The focus is on the member’s economics – not on distributor economics – in support of the member’s growth. With the backing of Morris & Dickson’s distribution services expertise, members will get can rely the assurance of timely delivery and outstanding service as part of the offering.

Through this partnership Morris & Dickson will support BeaconMD members with next-day fulfillment services of specialty products. As part of this offering, Morris & Dickson will include its newly-launched cold chain packaging solution from Aerosafe® Global, with their advanced temperature control and tracking that allows for temperature tracking and transparency throughout the payload’s journey and ensures patient safety while also reducing packaging waste. With more approvals of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and increase in climate temperatures, Morris & Dickson’s cold chain expertise continues to be a market differentiator in specialty distribution.
