Layne Martin named M&D Head of Specialty Sourcing

Morris & Dickson, the nation’s largest independent full-line pharmaceutical distributor, is pleased to announce the hiring of Layne Martin as Head of Specialty Sourcing.

Layne brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare distribution and supply chain industry. Over that time Layne has established a proven track record of building, leading and running distribution, 3PL, Specialty Pharmacy, digital pharmacy and cell & gene therapy businesses.

Layne was with McKesson from 2001 to 2020 in a series of progressive roles – most recently serving as its VP/GM of Specialty Distribution & 3PL. In this capacity he developed unique supply chain strategies that created long-term value both for McKesson and for pharmaceutical manufacturers bringing specialty therapies to market. More recently, Layne has spent the past 3 years in the digital pharmacy space, helping both Alto Pharmacy and Medly Pharmacy to build manufacturer-facing teams in support of these businesses’ broader healthcare transformation objectives.
