M&D to attend the National Community Pharmacists Association annual convention
Morris & Dickson (M&D), the nation’s largest independent full-line pharmaceutical distributor, has announced plans to attend the upcoming 2022 Annual Convention and Expo of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).
The industry’s largest independent pharmacy convention will take place October 1 – 4 at the Kansas City Convention Center. This year’s theme is “Team Up!” and the event will attract more than 3,000 independent pharmacy professionals looking to learn new strategies for their business, network with other pharmacies, and find new products and services.
The NCPA Annual Conference is the country’s premier event for community pharmacy owners, managers, and their teams. It’s where they learn the best business practices, find the best services and products, keep up with the newest trends and developments, and share ideas with peers from all over the country.
Morris & Dickson can be found Sunday, October 2 from Noon to 4:30, and Monday, October 3 from 12:30 to 5:30 PM, at Booth #537 in Halls D and E at the Kansas City Convention Center.
“NCPA is an event Morris & Dickson looks forward to each and every year,” says Jody Hatcher, CEO of Morris & Dickson. “As a company who puts pharmacies and patients first, it’s our opportunity to meet with the trusted independent pharmacists who are promoting health in our local communities.”
As part of the event, the prestigious NCPA Willard B Simmons Independent Pharmacist of the Year Award is given to an independent pharmacist each year. Additionally, the NCPA Student Chapter of the Year Award is given to future pharmacists who demonstrate excellence throughout the year in promoting independent pharmacy and advocating for the profession.
The National Community Pharmacists Association, founded in 1898, is the voice of the community pharmacist. The Washington DC-based organization represents nearly 19,400 community pharmacies that employ 215,000 individuals nationwide. The nation’s independent pharmacies, independent pharmacy franchises, and independent chains represent a $67.1 billion marketplace, dispensing 34% of the nation’s retail prescription drugs.
With over 30,000 SKUs, Morris & Dickson’s singular focus is the reliable, next-day delivery of drugs and related products to health systems, independent pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, and alternative care facilities across 19 states (and counting).
