M&D nominee named TPA Pharmacist of the Year
J.D. Fain of Pieratt’s Pharmacy has been named Pharmacist of the Year by the Texas Pharmacy Association (TPA). His nomination for the honor was submitted by his Central/South Texas Account Manager from Morris & Dickson (M&D), Gary Anderson.
The award was given to Fain at the 2022 TPA Conference and Expo held in July at the Hyatt Regency in Austin. With M&D’s Anderson in attendance, Fain received his recognition at the TPA awards luncheon that celebrates pharmacy excellence in Texas.
“J.D.’s greatest skill presents itself in his ability to communicate and connect with people,” said Gary Anderson, Account Manager for M&D. “Not only is J.D. an astute pharmacist and leader, but his personal faith is also an inspiration; he truly makes me a better man!”
Fain is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. He has been in pharmacy for over 30 years, beginning as a Senior Staff Pharmacist for Baylor, Scott & White. Pieratt’s Pharmacy has been in Giddings, Texas, since 1964, with Fain becoming owner and Pharmacist in Charge in 1999. Today, Fain is also on the board for the Independent Pharmacy Academy, and is active in the Texas Pharmacy Association, working with legislators on policies that directly affect the state’s independent pharmacies.
“I have been a customer of Morris & Dickson for over 30 years,” says Fain. “It is an honor to receive this award, and an honor being nominated by Gary Anderson and M&D.”
