Industry veteran Mike Vanderpol hired as Generics Category Leader

Morris & Dickson (M&D), the nation’s largest independent full-line pharmaceutical distributor, has announced the hiring of Mike Vanderpol as the Generic Drugs Category Leader.

Vanderpol, a 27-year industry veteran, will oversee operations and personnel within the Generics channel, including contracting for pharmaceuticals, developing supply strategies, negotiating cost savings, and leading relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, hospitals, independent pharmacies, and other channel partners.

Prior to joining M&D, Vanderpol was Divisional Vice President of Pharmaceutical Sourcing at Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. He has also served as Director of Rx Sourcing for Smith Drug Company, Director of Rx Generic Sourcing at Walgreens, and Director of Sales at Rexam PLC/Owen-Illinois.

Vanderpol received a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Ohio University.
