Jody Hatcher appointed CEO of Morris & Dickson
Morris & Dickson (M&D), the nation’s largest independent full-line pharmaceutical distributor, has announced the hiring of Jody Hatcher as Chief Executive Officer, effective April 15, 2021.
Hatcher will assume the top role of the $4 billion company from Paul Dickson, who is retiring from day-to-day management of the company. The succession ends a 70-year string of corporate family management by the Dickson family of Shreveport.
“This is exciting transformational change for our 180-year-old company,” said M&D Chairman Paul Dickson. “We look forward to developing a new and better model for the healthcare supply chain.”
Mr. Hatcher most recently served as President of Supply Chain Services for Vizient, the largest healthcare performance improvement company in the country. Before that, he was President and CEO of Novation, which became part of Vizient in 2015.
“It’s an honor to lead a company that plays such a crucial role in our country’s healthcare system and has an unparalleled track record of success,” said Mr. Hatcher. “I am eager to meet and listen to our employees, customers, and manufacturer partners to ensure that we continue to meet the challenges of a dynamic healthcare landscape.”
With over 30,000 SKUs, M&D’s singular focus is the reliable, next-day delivery of drugs and related products to health systems, independent pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, and alternative care facilities across 19 states (and counting).
